Our Mission
Our mission is to lead lives of dedicated service in the world as we share the teachings of Integral Yoga. We do this with love and compassion, putting the Integral Yoga teachings into practice in our own lives and service. We celebrate both the unity and diversity of all peoples and spiritual paths through the interfaith ministry services we provide.
Services
Our service is inspired by Sri Swami Satchidananda, the founder of Integral Yoga, whose teachings offer an approach to accessing one’s essential nature of inner peace and joy, to recognizing the same in everyone and, to bringing that inner peace out into the world through this service.
Ministers offer service through teaching and conducting classes, workshops, retreats, and programs on the teachings and practices of Integral Yoga. Additionally, Integral Yoga Ministers provide the following services:
About
Sri Swami Satchidananda founded the Integral Yoga Ministry on July 19, 1980 when he ordained seven ministers under the auspices of Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville in Santa Barbara. Shortly thereafter, twenty-two ministers were ordained at Satchidananda Ashram-Yogaville, Virginia. The ministry was inspired by the selfless example of the Integral Yoga sannyasis (monks). It created a pathway for non-monastic Integral Yoga students to deepen and formalize commitments to dedicate their lives to the service of others.
